Order Preventing Removal
If you are concerned that someone is planning on taking your children out of the country or the district other than where they are living you may be able to apply to the court for an order preventing their removal . These can be filed urgently (‘without notice’) if you have sufficient grounds that require the matter to be dealt with urgently - normally when there is little time to stop the children from being taken or if the children are at significant risk of harm. If the child or children are going to be taken from the country, once an order is granted customs will be notified and the child name will be listed on the security system which notifies airport staff that they are not allowed to leave the country. |
